i used to love playing Webkinz but never knew about the webkinz killer rumor and thank god i didn't cuz i would've been scared shitless as a kid

but i would like to know who actually started that rumor to begin with and why cuz all i can find is theories like someone who worked for Neopets created the rumor in order to scare kids off the platform so they can play their site instead or some creepypasta writing shmuck did it

whoever they were idk if they ever intended to scare kids, i hope they didn't cuz that would've been fucked up but if not i hope they apologized for it
